
Peter O'Brien FIPA, FNTAA
Peter O’Brien is one of the founding directors of the OBT Financial Group (previously known as O’Brien, Turner & Associates) which commenced business in July 1984.
As Managing Director, Peter’s primary role involves researching and advising on complex taxation issues involving companies, trusts and complicated business structures as well as advising businesses on profit improvement strategies, asset protection, cash and profit forecasting.
Peter provides accurate and timely advice to business clients, and is proactive in his dealing with clients. He works closely with business owners to identify their needs and build their financial security, whilst ensuring they have the correct business structure to minimise as much as possible their taxation liabilities and possible litigation issues.
Peter has been working in the accounting and business advisory industry all his career and has operated and managed various small businesses ranging from hot bread shops to video stores. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants, a registered tax agent and a Fellow of the National Tax and Accountants’ Association.

Peter provides assistance and drive to business owners. Clients vary in terms of size, scope, operational philosophy and organisational structure however typically Peter deals with small to medium sized businesses, operating in a range of entity types, with turnovers up to $50 million.
